FAQs

About Our Signed Art Prints:

PLEASE NOTE: Shipment of prints ordered will be made within three to four business days. International shipments may be subject to significant delays due to disruptions caused by COVID-19.

Are the prints signed by the artists?
Unless otherwise noted, the prints sold on this website are all signed by the artists. The Christo prints are signed by either Christo alone or Christo and Jeanne Claude together. Christo signs prints of preparatory works (drawings, collages, paintings). Both Christo and Jeanne-Claude sign prints of completed projects (photos).

What is the printing process for the art prints and what type of paper are they printed on?
The printing technique for the Robert Rauschenberg prints is described alongside the image of those prints. The Christo prints are a special offset-lithography with a high density of dots.

The following Gates prints are printed on a special paper called hammered cardboard with an ivory surface. It is similar to the paper used by artists for drawing. The paper is very thick, a little rough and therefore very resistant to any damage. The printer needs between three and ten times the ink in relation to a normal art print paper because the surface is not closed and the ink goes deep inside the paper. This makes the image much more brilliant.

9345, 9346, 17685, 18277, 18296, 18370, 18371, 18372, 18376, 18377, 18378, 18379, 18383 (I, II, IV, VIII, IX, XV, XIX, XX, XXI, XIII, XXIV, XXV, XXVI and XXIX)

The following Gates prints are printed on standard art print paper with a closed surface. The ink sits on the surface of the paper. Again, the printing technique is a special offset-lithography with a high density of dots:

CH002, 16553, 18298, 18373, 18380 (II, III, X, XXII, XXVII, XXVII).
